There are no orientations on specific countries while conducting direct business activities. Furthermore, MNCs are known to be independent from government. Hence, both types of corporations operate beyond the national borders. MNCs, in their turn, have headquarters in a single country however, the main activity of these companies take place in several countries, continents (Encyclopedia Britannica 2012). Contrary to MNCs, transnational corporations are known for the fact that there is no centralized office in a certain country (Cromwell n.d.). However, there is a slight difference between them. Many people do not see any major difference between the two terms. Multinational corporations are very often known as transnational corporations.
